PERFECTION CORPORATION INTRODUCES
COMPLETE LINE OF PE100 MOLDED PRODUCTS

MADISON, OH – March 30, 2005

Perfection Corporation announces the introduction of the natural gas industry’s first complete line of distribution products molded from PE100 resin. PE100 is an advanced polyethylene offering primary properties similar to PE2406 and PE3408 resins with improved performance characteristics including resistance to Rapid Crack Propagation (RCP) and Slow Crack Growth (SCG). Perfection has invested significant resources to develop and test this line of PE100 products as part of its ongoing commitment to provide utilities with the best and safest gas distribution products possible.

PE100 is an ISO classification for gas grade polyethylene resin.  Current ASTM standards classify PE100 as PE3408. A future ASTM classification of PE4710 is anticipated. PE100 resin has been successfully utilized in the natural gas industry in Europe and other countries for nearly two decades.

The following PE100 products are available from Perfection Corporation: Permasert® mechanical couplings, PermaLock® Mechanical Tapping Tees and Saddle Fusion Tapping Tees, and PSV™ Polyethylene Shut-Off Valves. The installation procedures for these PE100 products have not been modified, offering a seamless transition for the end-user. All of these products will comply with the same standards as their counterparts molded from PE2406 and PE3408, including US DOT CFR Title 49, Part 192.283 (b) and ASTM D-2513 category 1.
