Our exclusive Heat Trap fittings are designed to reduce
stand-by energy losses from water heaters, and their
dielectric waterway design works to prevent corrosion
at the same time. The energy loss reduction is achieved
by the seating of lighter or heavier-than-water balls
when the water flow is stopped. Each Heat Trap Fitting
also features safety relief ports to prevent accidental
closure of the waterway.
Each fitting is self-cleaning, because the inert
thermoplastic lining prevents lime and scale buildup.
Also, our steel-to-plastic construction creates a dielectric
waterway. By preventing galvanic local cell corrosion, it
provides proven protection for all dissimilar metal piping
connections.
Heat Trap Fittings are also furnished as hot water
outlet anode holding devices and dip tube assemblies to
provide additional functions at one low cost.
